The Bible is full of references about wine and strong drink. Many of these references refer to wine and strong drink in a positive way. Historically, fundamental Baptists have had an aversion to drink, not because of what the Bible says, but because of what reliance on drink does to an individual. When the Bible talks about drink in a negative way it is in the way of warnings about not being "controlled by drink" but instead "to be controlled by the Spirit."
Montanan's are well aware of the problems of alcohol. Montana leads the nation in alcohol related deaths. Alcohol addiction is a devastating as is any addiction. However, it is not our place to judge people. It is our job to let you know the good news...that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life. If you will let Jesus be your Lord, no matter what problems you are having, He and He alone will be able to help you.
